Moon Palace Jamaica Grande Unveiled at Resort Grand Opening

Palace Resorts, the company that sets the standard in five-star, all-inclusive resort accommodations, is proud to celebrate the grand opening of Moon Palace Jamaica Grande, the brand’s first property outside of Mexico.

On Wednesday, December 2, 2015, Palace Resorts welcomed local media, dignitaries and government officials including The Most Honorable Portia Simpson Miller, Prime Minister of Jamaica, to experience the newly enhanced property.

Invited attendees had the distinct opportunity to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony held in Moon Palace Jamaica Grande’s expansive lobby, followed by exclusive property tours and speeches from Palace Resorts’ President Jose Chapur and Executive Vice President Gibran Chapur among others. The evening concluded with an impressive dining experience prepared by Executive Chef Dennis McIntosh and live entertainment.

The resort is strategically situated on the north coast of Jamaica, accessible from the Montego Bay airport. Following a multimillion dollar transformation of what was formerly the iconic Sunset Jamaica GrandeMoon Palace Jamaica Grande boasts more than 700 guestrooms and suites with oceanfront views of the Caribbean Sea. The hotel features 17-acres of ivory sand on the longest stretch of private beach in Ocho Rios.

With five dining destinations and six bars and lounges throughout the property, Moon Palace Jamaica Grande offers exciting and eclectic flavors such as gourmet Asian, traditional Italian, local sea fare and modern international.
